They were the boys who traveled away from the civil and were trapped at the border.
3. What two things started the civil war in Sudan? 
Religion and Oil
4. Who was fighting in the war? 
Arabs in the North and Black Christians in the South
5. What hardships did the boys face on their journey to Ethiopia? 
The boys faced many hardships during their journey, some of them were lack of water, starvation, bombings and animal attacks.
6.What happened to the refugee camp at Ethiopia?
When the government fell the boys had to flee the camp.
7. How many years did the Lost Boys walk total after the attacks on the villages?
The boys walked for a total of 5 years.

What have you learned about Dinka culture? What markers from the film are representative of Dinka culture? Of American culture? What values do the Lost Boys hold? How do those values compare with your own?  I learned that they were a lot more communal then people are in the United States. People in the United States are a lot more individual then people in Africa and the boys were not used to that. A marker is when they were traveling in large groups and the people in the grocery store were freaked out by it. They boys are very religious, so they did celebrate Christmas, but they didn't know about Santa Claus and Tree. The boys are religious like me, but they don't celebrate Christmas with the tree and Santa Claus. What questions and fears do the Lost Boys have about life in the U.S.? Today in class we learned about how to interpret maps. We defined map scale, projection, meridian, longitude, parallel, latitude and prime meridian. We also learned what the role of map scale and projection in interpreting maps. A map scale is the level of detail and the amount of area covered on the map depend on its map scale. A map scale can be presented in three different ways, ratio or fraction scale, written scale or graphic scale. A map projection is a systematic transformation  of the latitudes and longitudes from the surface of the sphere into the locations on a plane. Maps cannot be created without map projections.
